OCC Clubhouse & Golf Notes

I would like to inform the membership that our Clubhouse Maintenance Manager, Bill Taylor, is "retiring" from his duties & responsibilities after 16 years of service to the membership.  It has been a tremendous honor to have had the opportunity to work aside Bill as a department manager & I can attest that his passion, dedication & professionalism for our Club is something that I've always admired. It is without question that his trade & Club knowledge will be greatly missed but the beginnings of his next career, spending quality time with his family, is why we all work & I wish him the best.  Please make sure that if you see the "Mustache Man" (named by my daughter) the next time you are at the Club to give him a handshake & a thank you for his service!

We had two more members join the Hole in One Club this past week at Oxmoor CC.  The first perfect shot was struck by Bob Burnette, who posted his 3rd ace on the course, while playing the 16th hole from 147 yards with a 7-iron on Wednesday afternoon. The second perfect shot was hit just four days later by Penny Haseker who recorded her 1st career ace while playing Sunday afternoon on the 8th hole, hitting an 8-iron from 119 yards!
