2014 PGA Championship Volunteers

I would like to invite anyone who would like to volunteer as a hole Marshall for next years major championship at Valhalla Golf Club to please contact me.  We have again been assigned to hole #2 for the week & have been asked to fill up 33 spots for the week.  The cost of "volunteering" is $197 & includes a shirt, wind shirt & hat as well as daily passes to the tournament & access to the PGA Wanamaker Tent; with each individual required to work four, 4-hour shifts, inside the ropes for the week.  Finally, I would like to thank our hole captain, Dick Goold, for his leadership in serving again as the point man for our Club.  First 33 to sign up are in!

Attached is an alphabetical roster of this weekend's participants in the gross match play championship & if your name is not on the list then you have until 3:00 pm to do so.  I will post the tee times for this weekend after 4:00 PM today on both the tee sheet & with an email.  Please contact the golf shop by phone or email to sign up.

1. Oxmoor Ownership Program is TONIGHT at 5:45 PM.  We will be putting up a fence on the left side of the 16th hole as well as doing some general projects (divots/weeding/etc.) that will benefit our course & golf course maintenance staff.  Anyone is welcome, beer is compliments of the PGA professional Staff, & we look forward to seeing all who come out!

Next week we begin our Tuesday evening leagues for both men & women.  If you would like to been on the auto sign-up list (you only call when your NOT playing) please let us know.  The league play begins at 6:00 PM and everyone must sign-up prior to the 3:00 PM deadline that day.  Also, new for the year will be a player buffet for participants afterwards featuring different appetizers, salads & sides weekly.  This buffet will be applied to the food & beverage minimum for the participants at an all inclusive $10 fee.  Please contact the Golf Shop if you would like to sign up.

I'm very excited to host PGA Professional, John Graham, joining Cory Kaufman & myself in teaching an Aimpoint green reading clinic.  Aimpoint was founded by Mark Sweeney, who has worked with numerous PGA & LPGA Professionals, and their results in putting statistics are remarkable.  John is the 2nd most certified Aimpoint Professional in the world and the class will be limited to 10 participants.  If you would like to learn more & #makeeverything, please contact the Golf Shop.
