We are hosting a corporate event that morning & the golf course will be unavailable for member play until 3:00 PM that day. I apologize about any inconvenience that this may incur & would like to remind everyone about our alliance with Wildwood CC and the availability to play their golf course. I would also like to encourage you to use the practice facility as it will be available throughout the day for member use.

Tuesday Night Men's & Women's 9-Hole League

April 8th - 6:00 PM

Start clearing your calendar for Tuesday evening's & make weekly plans to have fun at the Club! League play begins in 2 weeks & we will again have both sides in play for the ladies & gentlemen featuring individual & team games periodically scheduled throughout the year.  This season we will not have an automatic sign-up list & it will be the responsibility of anyone who would like to participate to contact the golf shop that day by 3:00 pm. 

OMGA Opening Day Shamble

Sat., April 12th @ 8:30 AM

The opening day shamble is just two weeks away & I would encourage all who would like to play to sign up in the golf shop ASAP!  The event is open to all members of the OMGA & features a two-man shamble with the teams be determined by a random A/B draw and teams being awarded for their best gross/net score posted that day.  

Icebreaker Results

Oxmoor CC Mobile App

I would like to inform the membership of our new mobile app that has been developed by our Club Technician, Teague Ridge.  Many of you have the older app & it will need to be deleted off your phone, & then search the app market for Oxmoor CC & download the current version.  This new version has a lot of features including podcast, golf blogs & member access for tee times/statements, gps & round tracking as well as an option for push notifications.  Download the new app now!

Open House & Demo Night

Looks as if we are going to have a great day for golf tomorrow & I would like to thank everyone who has signed up to play.  All guests fees will be $20 tomorrow including the cart rental as we showcase our GREEN golf course, club facilities & camaraderie of our membership.  Also, we will have Callaway, Cobra, Ping, Taylormade & Titleist on the range from 4:00-9:00 with their latest equipment & an excellent opportunity to get fitted for clubs as well as hit balls under the lights!.  If you would like to schedule an appointment with either Jamie or myself, please contact the golf shop by 12:00 pm tomorrow.

Icebreaker

We have 17 teams signed up to play in the opening day Icebreaker Scramble on Saturday morning.  Play will begin at 9:00 AM & if you would like to participate and have yet to sign up, you have until 12:00 PM tomorrow to contact the golf shop.  The entry fee is $50 & includes all tournament expenses including a great lunch prepared by our Chef Jesse after play!

2014 Jr. Golf Parent Meeting

Sunday, March 16th @ 4:00 PM

I would like to encourage all members who have children ages 5-15 to come out to the Club for a discussion of events for the upcoming golf season.  We have been diligently preparing the golf programs this year summer as well as organizing our first Jr. Golf Team to participate in the PGA Jr. League with other Clubs using a 9-hole scramble format.  We would also like to extend an invitation to any guest or friends who have children that love the game!  We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday afternoon.

Icebreaker Scramble

We are just now one weekend away from the opening day (postponed) scramble on the 1st day of Spring! Currently we have 14 teams signed up to play & if you would like to put together your favorite foursome then please contact the golf shop.  The entry fee for members/guest is just $50 per person & includes all tournament expenses & a great lunch prepared by Chef Jesse & his culinary team.

Make your plans to come out to the Club next Friday afternoon to experience the latest & greatest in technology for the upcoming golf season.  We will have some of the biggest manufactures in golf on our range promoting their products as well as allowing you to find the best fit to improve your game!  Jamie & I will be on hand for club fitting appointments every 30 minutes beginning at 4:00 PM & would encourage anyone who would like to get "dailed-in" to contact us for an appointment.

Crystal Classic

Thursday-Saturday, June 5th-7th

The premier event of the Club tournament schedule is just 3 months away & if you want to play, then you better sign up now!  We are going to limit the field to the first 36 members who would like to participate & this weekend opening the sign-up to last year's tournament participants before we extend the sign-up to the entire membership.

Please Note:

1.  Icebreaker Scramble Postponed - We have made a decision to move the Icebreaker Scramble to Saturday, March 22nd due to Clubhouse maintenance & course conditions.  Please let us know if your team is still going to be the same & hopefully the weather will not!

2.  I will email & send push notifications out in regards to course/practice facilities conditions as we move out of the ice age & into the Spring.  Please make sure that your mobile device is linked to the Oxmoor CC "app" so that you can have immediate access to your membership, tee times & results of your Club.

Winter Ringer Board

I would like to thank all those members who participated in the 2013/14 Winter Ringer Challenge. Congratulations to the overall gross winner, Kevin Aldred, who posted a 16-under par 56 that featured pars on #15 & #18 and again proved that 54 is very elusive.  The net competition required the Rules of Golf Book to be in lay as two individuals, Bob Burnette & John Dryden, tied for the overall lead with a total of 47. Mr. Dryden was able to gain a 1 stroke victory, through the USGA tie-breaking clause, with an inward 9 net total of 29.  Again, thanks to all & look forward to seeing you on the links soon!
