Oxmoor CC Weekly Update

CLUB NEWS

Make reservations for a great evening at the Club tonight!  Chef Jesse & his culinary team have an excellent menu (see attachment) featuring the "Cadillac of the Sea" presented to your liking & paired with the all you can eat soup & salad bar.  Also, tonight will kick off the weekly happy hour specials (EVERY Thursday-Saturday) from 4:00-7:00 PM w/well drink specials, buckets of beer & some of the simple pleasures of life: Wings-Pretzel Sticks w/Beer Cheese-Chilli Cheese Nachos. We look forward to seeing you at the Club!

Supper Club
Every Sunday beginning Nov. 1st - RESERVATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED
I'm excited to announce to the membership that full service dining is now available on Sunday afternoons!  Chef Jesse has created a menu for each Sunday that will remind you of what family dining is all about (with the exception of who's doing the dishes) to conclude your weekend.  The featured items of the first weekend of the Supper Club:
Chicken & Dumplings - Meatloaf - Pork Chops w/Fried Apples & paired with the soup & salad bar as well as dessert stations.
We look forward to seeing you at the Club!

Thanksgiving Dinner - "Turkey To Go"
As stated above, who want's to do the dishes?  Make your reservations for the Chef's "Turkey To Go" & let us take care of the traditional thanksgiving menu as you enjoy spending time with your family.  Packages available that feed 8-10 people ($139), 12-16 people ($189) as well as additional options that can be made from our kitchen to yours.  Please contact Laura Ridge, lridge@oxmoorcountryclub.com,  to reserve your package prior to Friday, November 20th!

GOLF NEWS

OMGA Champions Celebration
Thursday, November 5th
7:00-8:30 PM
I would like to encourage the members of the OMGA to come to the inaugural Champions Celebration this upcoming Thursday evening.  The OMGA Committee & Professional Staff will award trophies for the 2015 events & look back on some of the most memorable moments of the golf season as everyone enjoys the complimentary wings, chilli dogs & other featured items from the culinary team & the Thursday night NFL game of the week!  Please make reservations by contacting the Golf Shop if you plan to attend that evening.

Turkey Shoot-out
Friday, November 27th
9:30 AM Start
This event will be played DESPITE the weather conditions, so be ready!  Sign up your favorite foursome for the annual scramble played with your family & friends on the links of Oxmoor CC.  The entry fee is just $50 per player & includes the tournament purse, golf, skill challenges as well as lunch & the "Oxmoor Cidar" that has been proven to warm the blood when needed.  Please contact the Golf Shop if you would like to participate in the fun!

I saw this article in Golfweek & thought I would share the "Top 5' Tips
1. Forget honors entirely: play ready golf at all times.
2.Concentrate on determining your yardage before it is your turn to hit.
3. The first golfer to hole out should hold the flagstick & replace it.
4. Never park a golf cart on the front side of the green; park it as close as possible to the point of exit from the green.
5. Playing quickly should be every golfer's mandate.
