Masters Pool Party - Tonight @ 5:00 PM

The first pool party of the year is on tonight & make your plans to join your friends at the Club for featured appetizers, beer specials & to enter into a $10 Masters pool on who is going to slip on the green jacket this week.  The Masters Pool party rules:

1. Pick 5 Golfers & a Tie Breaking Score

2. Players will get points awarded for their finish & any player not making the cut will be awarded last place points

3. Lowest point total wins

4. 1st & 2nd Payouts based on entries

Oxmoor Ownership Night

Monday, April 11th @ 5:30 PM

I would like to encourage the membership to join the Grounds Committee team for a beautification project on our 7th hole.  Earlier this year, OCC Members Ron Haseker & Chris McMillen, put in some "sweat equity" by cleaning up the creek bed to the right of the green; removing dead limbs & undergrowth that has definitely provided a much needed clean look to that area.  The Grounds Committee is making the banking on the left & behind the green the spring project, allowing for a natural setting (it will be mowed every 2/3 weeks) amphitheater that will provide a clean look as you hit your approach shot into the green.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss any other potential ownership night projects, please contact Mike Porter at ukgolfdad1@aol.com .

Gentlemen's Draw

Friday Mornings at 10:30 AM

The PGA Staff is excited to host a weekly game for the gentlemen of the Club to participate in every Friday morning.  Members must sign up to participate by Thursday afternoon & pairings will be made by random draw using the Tournament Pairing Program & emailed to participants for the following day starting times.  Members will compete in a $10 game, awarding the low gross & low net individual scores, as well as hole by hole skins paid out after the round is completed.  We had 12 players for our inaugural  Gentlemen's Draw last week & I would expect this to increase throughout the year as we move into the season.  Please contact the Golf Shop if you would like to play.

2. Demo Day, Friday April 15th 3:00-7:00 PM.  On the range that evening: Callaway, Cobra, Ping & Titleist.  Fitting Appointments Available w/PGA Professional Staff

3. OLGA Opening Day Shamble - Saturday, April 16th.  Sign-up in the Golf Shop to participate.

4. OMGA President's Cup Match Play Championship, Round 1 - Saturday, April 30th

Bourbon Club 

Thursday, April 21st

6:00 PM

Join us for our first meeting of the year to sample some fine bourbon & enjoy a bourbon flavored dinner with your friends at the Club.  The Bourbon Club is a limited membership with an initiation fee of $90 & annual fees of $75, which provide a personalized bourbon glass to all members as well as paybacks throughout the calendar for the year.  The Bourbon Club will meet every 3rd Thursday evening monthly & feature different bourbons, foods, games & always the camaraderie of being an Oxmoor CC bourbon enthusiast with fellow members.  Please contact me (jsnider@oxmoorcountryclub) if you would like to learn more or join the Club!
