OCC Golf - April 4th

Please Note:

1.     1. The practice range & golf course are CLOSED today.

2.      2. Carts MUST stay on path this weekend.

3.      3. REPLACE your divots. REPAIR your pitch marks. RAKE bunkers when exiting. Your help in making the golf course better for those playing behind your game is greatly appreciated!

4.      4. Tuesday Night Men’s & Women’s League play begins this week!  Contact the golf shop prior to 3:00 PM that day to sign-up for the 6:00 PM shotgun start.

 

OMGA Opening Day Shamble

Saturday, April 12^th – 8:30 AM Shotgun Start

We currently have 30 players signed up to participate in the OMGA opening day event contested on next weekend.  The format will be a two-man shamble, with teams being randomly drawn using the USGA Tournament Pairing Program, & is open to all members of the OMGA who have an established handicap.  Teams will be awarded trophies, sweeps & points based off of their best gross/net scores and there will be skills challenges on the course for all participants.  If you would like to play, please sign up in the golf shop ASAP!  The deadline to sign up is Thursday at 4:00 PM & due to the requirement of two-man teams, an alternate list will be used until we have an even number of players for pairing management.

 

Kentucky Junior Golf Foundation

Spring Stroke Play Championship

Sat. & Sun., April 12^th & 13^th

We are hosting the state’s best junior golfers this upcoming weekend for a 2-day stroke play tournament.  The juniors will begin play off of #1 & #10 tee beginning at 1:00 PM both days & a full field is expected including our student members & juniors looking to have home course advantage.  The golf course will be closed for regular member play between the times of 1:00-5:30 PM both Saturday & Sunday afternoon.   Members who would like to play on Sunday, April 13^th are encouraged to make a tee time between 7:45-10:30 AM that morning & the practice facilities will be available for member use throughout the day.  Please contact the golf shop for more information.

Parent Meeting

Wed., April 23^rd – 6:00 PM

If you were unable to attend the last parent meeting in regards to the upcoming year in junior golf at OCC, then please make plans to attend on the 23^rd.  The PGA Professional Staff will discuss the upcoming season’s dates for instructional clinics, golf camps & Jr. League team requirements and schedule.  If you have any questions please contact Jamie DeKeuster or me & we look forward to seeing you at the parent meeting on Wednesday, April 23^rd!
