I hope everyone had a tremendous PGA Championship experience, either on the grounds or watching on TV, as it will be noted as one of the best PGA Championships' in historical records! It is always noted at the Masters that the back 9 on Sunday is when the tournament is won & it was awesome seeing that leaderboard & eventual champion, Rory McIlroy, golf at the highest level over the last 9 holes at Valhalla. Lastly, I would like to thank all the members who volunteered their time for the week serving as hole marshals for #2 (Great for-caddie work by Mrs. Patti Noe in helping Jason Day find his ball!) as well as to our Hole Captain, Dick Goold, for his efforts in coordinating our team & representing Oxmoor CC.
Club Championship
Friday, Saturday & Sunday
August, 15-17
The deadline to sign up for this weekend's Club Championship will be Thursday, Aug. 14th at 12:00 PM. Please contact the golf shop if you would like to participate. The format for the event will be as follows:
Open, Men's, Seniors Division
*36 Hole Stroke Play contested on Friday & Saturday tee times to determine the low 8 scores & ties who will then play the final round on Sunday.
*Flight Champions, Overall Net Champion & Super Senior Medalist awarded after Round 2 on Saturday.
*Overall Champions & Runner-ups of each division awarded after R3 on Sunday.
Ladies Division
*36 Hole Stroke Play contested on Saturday & Sunday morning tee times.
*Club Champion, 2 Flight Champions & Overall Net Champion awarded after Round 2 on Sunday.
