Jr. Golf Parent Meeting

We will be hosting another parent meeting for those who have children ages 5-14 & would like to learn the game of golf.  This season is going to be a lot of fun, with weekly activities, camps & our inaugural Junior Golf team that will play other Louisville area country clubs.  We look forward to seeing everyone prior to the membership meeting tomorrow night!

Oxmoor Cup

The first of the Annual OMGA Match Play Championships begin this weekend with matches to be played on Saturday & Sunday.  The Oxmoor Cup is a flighted (Two Flights) match play tournament with NO handicap.  All matches will be randomly drawn & pairings set by the golf shop in the first round with tee times beginning at 7:40 am that morning.  Those who win their match will arrange the starting time with their respected opponent on Sunday in a selected time spot that is agreeable for both players.  This event is open to all OMGA members for no entry fee & is an excellent opportunity to golf your way into Oxmoor lore!  Sign up in the golf shop by 3:00 pm this Thursday.

Alliance Cup

Sat., May 10th @ 1:30 PM

The Alliance Cup is a new feature to the tournament schedule & features a two-person team from Oxmoor CC paired with a two-person team from Wildwood CC competing in a best ball format. Members are encouraged to sign-up as a two person team, individuals please contact the golf shop for possible pairings, for just $50 per player/$100 per team that includes dinner, carts & prizes. Contact the golf shop to sign up.

Saturday, April 19th

We are hosting the Kentucky GolfWeek Amatuer Tour with a full field of 120 players in the afternoon.  Members are encouraged to play that morning but must be off the golf course by 1:45 PM prior to the shotgun start at 2:00 PM.  Tee times will begin that morning off of #1 tee at 7:45 am to 10:00 am & off of #10 tee from 8:30 am to 9:30 am for regular member play.  If you would like to make a tee time for that morning, please contact the golf shop.  The practice facilities will be available for member use throughout the day & is recommended to use the back tee.

2014 Sunday Masters Game

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2014 Sunday Masters Game.  Congratulations to Mr. Ben Jansen for his outstanding play and pick of Bubba Watson to win the masters with a score of 141, earning him the victory.  There was a tie for second place with a total of 143 for Mr. Rob Young and Mr. Tom Larkin.  Our third place finisher with a total of 144 was Mr. Matt McCreary.  Once again I would like to thank everyone for playing!  Please note winners below:

OMGA Two-Man Shamble

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the OMGA Opening Day Shamble this morning! Congratulations to Brian Scott & Doug McWhorter for their outstanding play and score of 2-under, 70, earning them the medalist team & a 1-stroke play team victory.  The net championship team of Kevin Aldred & Rod Brown posted an 8-under par score of 64 as the best in the field.  Finally, I would like to thank our Golf Course Superintendent, Mike Coy, & his staff for their efforts this week in preparing the golf course on a daily basis.  Please note winners below:
